Our Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy
S.S.G. Shipping Services' primary objective is to provide high quality services to its customers at favourable prices, while at the same time fulfilling our own aspirations.
S.S.G. Shipping Services B.V. is also committed to safety and environmental protection in all its activities regarding purchase and delivery of ships spares and repairs. These activities will be carried out in accordance with the environmental protection and safety applicable standards, regulations and laws.
S.S.G. Shipping Services B.V. is committed to:
- Understand customer needs and expectations.
- Provide customers with goods that comply with specification as ordered, on time and in the way it was agreed with the customer.
- Ensure that when complaints are received, they will be attended to in a timely manner with a view to eliminate the root cause and prevent recurrence.
- Comply with regulations and standards applicable to S.S.G. Shipping Services’ activities as well as to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015; ISO 45001:2018 and to continuously improve the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System.
- Comply with the requirements of ISO 22301 (Business Continuity) and ISO 26001 (Social Responsibility).
- Provide a healthy, safe and clean environment to its personnel which will enable it to produce optimal output.
- Avoid negative environmental impact from own business activities.
- Evaluate all Health & Safety risks and avoid any negative impact on health and safety.
- Encourage participation of employees in a consultation meeting.
- Comply with Governmental regulations (e.g. ARBO, COVID).
According to Dutch Governmental regulation, the Prevention Officer may be an employee of S.S.G. Shipping Services B.V.
All employees are expected to support this policy and all will be accountable to:
- Use ecologically friendly packing materials.
- Reuse packing and other materials whenever possible.
- Exercise work activities with special care for Health & Safety matters and use proper personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Use energy efficiently.
- Emphasize safety education and safe work practices to minimise injuries and illnesses.
To implement this Policy, S.S.G. will carry out internal audits and review the related procedures.
The findings will be used for continual improvement of the integrated management system.
The management and staff are fully committed to follow this policy and are responsible for implementing it.

Air-freight security certificate in compliance with EU 300/2008 and related regulations & NTBB.
Asbestos free
Declaration of the absence of asbestos in the manufacturing or packaging of materials, components, products or systems. S.S.G. Shipping Services B.V. is responsible for product procurement for all products they supply. We recognize the following regulations:
- International Maritime Organization (IMO), Resolution MSC 282, adopting SOLAS Reg.11-1/3-5, the installation of materials containing asbestos on all ships (both new construction and existing vessels) is prohibited after January 2011.
- International Maritime Organization (IMO), Resolution MEPC 197 (62).
- International Maritime Organization (IMO) and International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), Unified Interpretation UI SC249,
S.S.G. Shipping Services B.V. warrants that they have not and will not present a material, component, product or system as mentioned in MSC 282, MEPC 197 and UI SC249 containing asbestos.
